6UL wheel delay.

Fitment:
If I ran a 15x8 front and a 15x9 rear 6 UL my total wheel weight would be 54.2 lbs (12.8(2)+14.2(2)). As I said above all 15x8 = 51.2.
Sportmax 501s are 58.8 lbs for 4 15x8. To put this in perspective, my 16x7 K1's are 58 lbs.
Cost:
The 6UL wheel setup with shipping included was 807.97 shipped to me. This does not include the required spacers (I dont know what these cost) for the rear. Adding in the same tires (225/50/15) I will use for my example below (Toyo Proxes 4 @ 88.95 + 68 shipping) =
1163.77 without mounting and balancing.. so lets just call it 1200. If you want to compare apples to apples.. 15x8 6ULs subtract 60 dollars.
The Sportmax setup from buywheelstoday:
4 sportmaxes @ 79.95 = 319.80 total
4 of the toyos @ 88.95 = 355.80 total
includes free mounting balancing and nitrogen inflation
Shipping = 72.16
Total = 747.76

You right they aren't in the same league. Sportmax provides a cheaper alternative if you are willing to do sacrifice 1 inch in the rear and 4 lbs. I don't plan on drifting, I'm not madtyte, and the offset is necessary for my flares. Here is what I considered before making my decision. I hope this helps the OP.

The 6ul's were designed to fit inside the stock wheel well so yah, they wouldn't be the best choice for your flared fenders (because of the extra cost of spacers).
When I bought my 6ul's last year mounting, balancing, and filling with nitrogen was included in the price....I don't know if that is the case now.
In the end you get what you pay for, the 6ul is a higher quality wheel and weighs less.
