Default 3pin to 2pin temp sensor

I have picked up a Qmax cooling reroute, but its made for the NB coolant sensor with 3 pins, triangular shaped connector, and smaller diameter at the threads.

My harness is from a 1990 NA, for the square 2pin sensor, and the large diameter at the threads.

Does the NB sensor have 2 equivalent pins that can sub-in for the NA 2pin sensor?

Unscrew the NB sensor. Screw in the NA sensor. They're the same housing 90-05.

My NA temp sensor has a larger thread and it will not fit in the QMax.

Maybe there is a NA sensor equivalent that has the smaller thread?
Anyone got a part number on it?

I'll order a new sensor for 90-93 NA Miata.

With any luck my original sensor was something used in the early NA's, and was updated with a smaller thread nbeing used.

Wingnut.

The 2 wire NA temp sender (Green one) and NB 3 wire temp sender have the same thread pattern. The Qmax reroute has 2 spots for a temp sender. The one all the way at the top by the bleeder, Fits both the 2 and 3 wire sender. The one at the bottom that is much smaller should be blocked off unless you want to use an aftermarket temp sender or if you want to use the single wire sender that powers the gauge cluster.

And you're not trying to thread in the fan switch, are you?
