Default 1996 wideband install question.

Hey everyone. In the process of installing a lc-2 wideband. Here is my question, I was under the impression that the stock o2 sensor has one wire at the plug that you cut and splice in the feed from your wideband gauge. My stock harness has 4 wires at the o2 sensor plug. What wire do I splice into?

The LC2 is already in the cab, why not splice it at the ECU?

yeah red/green wire -- connect your yellow output wire to it (if feeding a stock ECU).

where are you installing the lc2?

Thanks brain. It will be wired into the stock ecu for about 24 hours before I install my mspnp2. Per the advice on this forum, I am installing one item at a time. I am mounting the lc2 in the right eyeball vent in the center console.

I wouldn't bother wiring it to the stock ECU if you plan on installing a 'squirt soon.

I wired mine straight up through the shifter hole and through the dash to the ECU. Innovate included wiring instructions that were easy to match up to the Megasquirt pigtail.

I am going to wire it into my cars harness just before the plugs for the ecu. I will only run it for a short time to make sure everything is working. then I will switch over to the wideband signal wire and plug in my Megasquirt.

Got the wideband installed. Had to track down the correct wire by using pinout diagram. My wire is blue with a red stripe. The car started up immediately ran smooth and dialed into the 14.7 afr within 20 seconds. Now time for the mspnp2! Excited to start learning tuner studio.
