Myself and a friend are having a DTM championship. We're hoping to get 14 cars / drivers in, but can take up to 32(i think). We are also accepting teams to ensure someone will make it.
I knew a few of us are into iRacing but we just can't justify the cost since we're all just casual gamers and have real race cars to pay for. We're hoping this can be a more regular thing if possible.
Details:
Project cars 2 DTM championship

Second and fourth Saturday
Last race is 2 races

-Practice starts at 7:30pm
-Practice ends at 8PM
-Qualifying starts 8PM
-Qualifying ends 9:15 or earlier this gives a 15 min window to use bathroom etc
-12 laps each track last 2 races will be timed 30 min each

I kind of want to pick up PC2 since I'm tired of monthly fees with iRacing... the DTM championship got me thinking about that. Do any cars/tracks need DLC?
I'm getting ready to build another sim rig, but you lost me at Saturday night. There is usually too much going on during the weekend (concerts, comedy shows, going out for dinner/drinks, etc).
It doesn't need to be 5 hours long. People can practice the tracks on their own time.
Driver's meeting, 30 minutes? How about 3 minutes "Guys, don't drive like ********, we are all here for fun, don't go punting people and stuff.
10 minute warmup, 15 minute quali, then a race or two.
5 hours on iRacing is 5 SM races, 5 other races that start on the half-hour instead of the top of the hour.
That's how it works on iRacing. Which is fine. I just know for me a Sat night would be impossible to be consistent. Two hours 1 night during the week? I can make that happen 99% of the time.
Factory trim = locked setup like on SM iRacing, or will you allow adjustments to setup? Personally it's more fun to just give the car a middle of the road setup so everyone can focus on driving vs driving to find magic setup.

It's going to be open to adjustments. Because there are DTM cars in the DLC kit there are a few advantages. Plus two of the stock DTM cars with the normal game are completely undrivable without adjustments.
We don't have enough people yet. So we'll see what works and what everyone is looking for and make adjustments accordingly.
