Assetto Corsa Miataturbo peeps assemble
Is anyone else playing with the Miata mod? I made this, been working on it since the original mod was released but just now getting really happy with how it drives. I've settled on feal road race damping rates and springrates for now, with "semislick" tires from a evora or something. This makes 240ftlbs at 5500rpm at 100%, so it's not too terribly unrealistic.
In case you've never seen my car
I've done all sorts of suspension spring and damping rates, xidas, billies, ricelands, lol. Consists of low and high speed compression and rebound, as well as a m/s switch point. Calculating the input data is as easy as calculating shock dyno slopes, conversions, and multiplying by motion ratios...
I still have no idea what numbers to use for swaybars, but they're adjustable in game and do make quite a difference as they are now.
So, who wants to race

I'm not entirely sure, I think I paid $50 if I remember right, but that was with the ring DLC, too. They just released a new update and a few new cars and a track, so it might be a little while.

I don't have an e-brake or clutch pedal on my DFGT, so drifting is complicated. I use a paddle for e-brake at the moment, but I can't hit it with the wheel turned sometimes, not as I'd like to hit it.
I need a G27

My current setup, I have a cheapo Thrustmaster joystick attached to a steel plate bracket I made, bolted to the side of the metal playseat frame. Took apart the joystick and epoxied in some nuts to attach it to the plate. I'll try grabbing a better photo of the setup.
Used G25 / Playseat CL special.

Looks like fun.
Here's my setup:
and in place:
And in action, my tall-person test driver at the wheel:
Took me about 4 hours to build the setup. There's about $15 in materials, plus an extra Miata seat from the MSM, complete with stock rails and full sliding functionality
I need to build a better solution for the shifter though, it's too far forward and close to the wheel. won't be particularly difficult, but I haven't bothered because the G27 shifter feels like nothing and I can't stand using it with Gran Turismo. We'll see how it works with Assetto Corsa when I get my computer up and running.

Thanks! Will give it a shot I used the default G27 settings and had a rough time, lot of resistance from the wheel, it's probably the extra effects. I messed around with settings in the Logitech profiler, turned off centering and turned down effects I believe and it felt a lot better. I'll compare with what you got to see what I can change.
