This thread reminds me of this place a year ago. Everyone just sat around bashing the **** out of FM. I'm glad we all get along so much better now.

Jeg's does that with hats it seems, and it pisses me off. If you can throw in a free hat why not just give me a better deal on the parts.

Guy orders ****, gets ****, plus free ****, vendor says oops, just keep it, people complain like little bitches because guy got free ****? Somehow I fail to see the problem.

The hat is free advertising. It works. They could hand out $1000 dollars worth of hats in a month or knock off X% of the price of the parts they sell in a month. The hats will result in more sales later on.

I know the sponsors see people bashing them and it's hard to hold their tongue. but a lot of it is constructive criticism if you look hard enough. Sam is right IMO and Keith shouldn't make fun of someone offering advice. I mean, he may be just some guy on the internet, but now I'm another because of what you said. Doesn't help your business to publicly make fun of anybody.

yeah but your kind of biased, you seem to have something against every vendor on this forum

And -1 on the free hats, stickers and shirts are cool, but when I receive a Summit hat I'm just like

I don't mind constructive criticism. We get some excellent feedback from our customers and we take it seriously. However, it's taken much more seriously if it's delivered in an intelligent manner and not as aggressive antagonism. I'm sorry that I reacted like a human being, I have to keep reminding myself what the typical tone is on this forum and to not let the insults get to me.

We've looked into things like shirts, and considered it. The problem is finding some that are inexpensive enough to put in orders without being cheap. All that stuff has to get paid for somehow though.

they give away free tshirts at baseball games. they're all XXL. who the hell are they sizing those for? fattest common denominator?

stickers are fine. I'd throw out bullshit hats I dont want. Jegs/Summit are the K-Mart of car parts stores. no wait I take that back. JC Whitney is K-Mart. They're Target.

1. Sam, stop busting Keith's *****.

2. Jeremy always sounds like he's busy on the phone. If you have EM tech support issues, send him an email. He's very good over email.

3. Leatherface, WTF man, you went turbo again?!?

Sorry if anyone felt like I was being short on the phone. In reality what it comes down to is that when doing tech I'm focused 100% on answering the question / solving the problem / helping the customer to make their car better. With the huge volume of tech calls and emails that come in to FM every day I like to keep on task in order to answer everyone's questions in a timely manner. Nothing personal! FWIW, my fiance', my best friend, and even my mom can rarely keep me on the phone for more than 5 minutes- uness they have a problem or are looking for advice.
