VVT swap from a 1.6 with PS and AC
Phoebe is still going strong (so this isn't now) but at some point her heart will fail so she needs a strong surviving heart.
I'm looking at a BP4W block and a BP6D VVT head following Emilio's suggestions in his thread for engine builds.
I intend to build up while she last spending what i can when i can so I can swap out as quickly as possible.
As this is a daily driver power steering and air conditioning are still present. Given my location you would think at least ac could go but when you're in traffic in the sun and you aren't used to the heat its glorious. Power steering may be optional at this point of swap but that is no where near now.
What I haven't seen much mention of, is how PS and AC are handled in engine swap.
I know most builds are track cars but what about us normal folk?
Is it not mentioned because it literally swaps over?

Bearings - The OEM bearings are good. Race specific bearings are harder, which helps resist scuffing. We like ACL Race bearings for the 94-05 blocks but other brands have been proven to work well. The NB2 engines (01-05) use a wider thrust bearing. ACL only makes a thrust bearing for the 94-00 BP's so find an alternate for that one.

It should be noted that the quoted part i used earlier has been removed from the Engine Ideas thread by Emilio but the clarification of only a thrust bearing being different in the VVT block is a worthwhile one. It means I can get everything as is and grab an OEM thrust bearing for fun times.

I think we need a talk
At the moment I'm kind of look for a transplant motor for emergency only. Once the MOT is done i will know if its emergency or not so can begin playing.
