VVT in a 2000 chassis
Ok, I'm getting an NB1 finally after YEARS of wanting one. Only issue is it is mid swap on a VVT project. I dont have the car in my driveway yet so Im not sure in all whats been done or not done or if its even been completed and run yet
Before getting into this i'm wanting to see one thing, and that is no check engine lights so I can get it past smog with someone who dosent realize what engine is actually in this thing. Yes im in california with the smog *****, and with what I would LIKE to do, MS or AEM and etc are just out of the question.
Ive searched and havent found what Im looking for, which is info on using the 99-00 ecu and harness on the VVT engine. I know on the BP4W there is a cam sensor on the front of the valve cover. I assume without that sensor the ecu will get confused and give me a 'wtf?!?!?!' light. Im sure there are other sensors that I need to worry about as well but I am not familliar with the VVT setup, only BP4W and earlier... Im tempted to see if anyone would want to trade this 30k mile vvt for a similar condition 4W... Anyway, thanks for reading, and any advice!

I'm about to do the same into my '99 but I'm not crazy so I'll be using my MS3.
