Truck LS2 Coil swap - No Spark
I swapped the coils in my MSM to LS2 truck coils configured as waste spark with the oem ecu. Wired everything up and no spark! Looked through some threads and found out the LS2 coils plugs are rotated according to the megasquirt coil swap page: Megasquirt Sequencer Coils
Switched up the wiring to the correct way and still no spark!
Im getting pretty frustrated now, theres 12v power to the coils, I grounded the extra ground on the head near the coil. The only thing i didnt do is add the capacitor to limit voltage drop.
I have 2 ideas what it could be. Either the trigger from the stock ecu isnt cutting it for the gm coils, or the regular ground needs to be grounded at the ecu. I really dont know about the second one, reading around, they say that isnt needed, and the miata combines the signal and coil ground already.
Any help is appreciated. I dont want to put the stock coils back on unless im absolutely sure it will not work. Im currently diagnosing it so sorry if this thread is a bit messy.
