Which standalone for 1.8 swapped NA6
I bought an NA6 that has been 1.8 swapped. I converted it to an NB2 subframe. All 1.8 accessories are back on the engine. Now using a 1.6 intake, 1.6 throttle body, 1.6 CAS, square top manifold, and a 1.6 ECU.
I want to go standalone ECU, should I go with the Gen2 Megasquirt for the 1.6 harness, or go with a diy kit?
I want to stay na, convert to 1.8 coils, maf delete, cas delete, use the hall effects sensor for timing. can the 1.6 megasquirt do all that?

If you’re tech savvy, enjoy the latest technology, are ok spending a bit more $$$, I’d suggest the Link g4x pnp unit, it can do all that when properly setup. Not quite as much help from the every day Joe, but they have amazing support on their forum.
If you’re closer to none of the above, the ms2 will easily work with any CAS or NB trigger wheel, run NB2 coils, and run any injector upgrade, and even handle boost fine. The only thing it won’t do is control VVT. You said 1.8 with flat top, but I dunno if you’re 99-00 or 01-05 head.
