Square top and BP5A cam = 13rwhp loss

i experienced a similar difference when fitting my new cams to my Nat asp track car.
dropped them in at 0advance it gave 140hp on the dyno. My engine builder suggested 2deg adv on intake and 4deg retard on exhaust gave him the best outputs on the (same spec) engines he had done before, so I adjusted the cam gears to 2deg in, 4deg ex, only to find power dropped to 127hp. Realising I had my advance/retard back to front I swapped it to correctly be +2,-4 and spun it up again, and got 153hp. So 26hp difference with no changes at all except for moving the cam gears.. if someone had told me that beforehand I would have laughed at them.

Am I within range of average hp it should be putting out or am I still on the low side? It's about 14psi at full boost.

...is the rest of the thread not showing up for you? We all guessed cam timing 6mos ago, OP confirmed his cam timing was off 5 days ago and the car gained 14whp over his original baseline with the issue corrected.
