Default Please review with me my motor rebuild - would like more advice, opinions

Upgrading from my 2560/BEGI log/stock 02 motor.

My goal is near 300WHP 3 season DD (not going to be a snow plow anymore) but I’ll bet a genuine 250-275 will have me quite happy. Street driving mainly, don’t think I’ll make the track a thing this year. I have about 60% of these parts at home and 95% are pre paid at members homes waiting to ship/no rush as Ive got to get my block done and holidays etc.

2002 block – soon to be bored and surface machined, probably have machinist tell me what bearings I’ll need (size)
ebay rods
Wiseco .20 over low comp. pistons
DIY balanced rods/pistons courtesy of BogusSVO teachings
ACL race bearings
ARP studs head and caps
stock 99 head gasket
my old medium IC with FM soft hose
BOSCH recirc. BOV
coolant reroute kit – Kia neck/moss flange machine, etc
used VVT head with 65K on it, will add supertech seals, and check valves for straightness, guides for wear and will have it properly machined for MLS gasket, maybe lap the valves
(my old head had 265,000kms I was to cheap and lazy to get rebuilt so I figured I would just buy a decent used one and sell mine later)
removed A/C and PWR steering
sending Artech my steering piece to be welded and also the coolant distribution block cut and welded
BE VVT street/strip pump
Used BEGI S4 manifold
Used 2860RS
my existing BEGI SGDP
existing 3” no cat exhaust with work done by crappy shop - light kink 15-25degree bends and poopy welds, but with supplied mandrel 90”s – then the big magnaflow
MS2Extra with VVT box (Reverant)
manual boost controller
adding a seperate real oil gauge
550cc RX7 inj.
Walbro 255 (not the HP version)
remove the VTCS plates and rod
Full-Race M10 turbo studs with Resbond
new waterpump/timing kit/full seals/gaskets etc
used ACT clutch
my old stock flywheel/PP
new tranny output seal
reuse old competition MMounts
-----------------------------

I have 3 concerns:

1. Putting used 65K old head in there that will be taken apart and looked over by me but not professionally rebuilt
2. stock crank damper (will I need an ATI $600 unit at my power goals)
3. used clutch and stock flywheel (surfacing / stock weight)

Do you see any other flaws or holes in my build sheet ?

Since you are more DD than track, drop the Race bearings and get the ACL Duraglide or aluma bearings.

Race bearings are harder across the face and to not have the embedablity properties that are needed for street use.

Race engines have the oil changed more often than a street engine, so what debris shows up in the oil is removed.

Stay away from Federal mogal bearings, they are too soft for an upgraded engine.
