Exclamation New ID 1050-XDS Injectors

Just wanted to provide some reassurance/visibility on the ID1050-XDS sold by 949. The new design places the terminals lower on the injector body making it very close to the manifold/head. Mine came in last week and I had some issues with clocking the injectors the correct way. It seems as though no matter what, the terminal was going to hit the head or the manifold. I got it into a reasonable orientation and hopefully they don't crack. It seems as though they aren't hitting anything but it's hard to tell.

In case anyone else has issues or concerns about this, it's on the record

Motor is a BP4W head with the VICS manifold.

Yeah this is a known thing. It’s not 949 for the record, it’s supermiata. And even they just resell ID’s off the shelf injector kit.

I shaved my injector clip bodies a bit to help, however I’ve also installed a few sets without having to do that.

Thanks for the correction, I always conflate the two.

I did this for mine and it helped. Otherwise, still a solid product.
