Indent facing the Engine or Front?
Now here is the movie of it turning over(I was being jumped because of low temps causing slow battery death, on batt maintainer now for charging 1.5AMP)
I've checked vac lines, Crank sensor is plugged in and gaped correctly, Cam sensor is plugged in and bolted, sparks are plugged correct and seated/bolted, Fuses under hood are in tact.
Also not I do have the car jacked up in the front, but I still almost have a 1/2 tank of gas so its not starved.
I've done 1 switch around of the timing plate, im sure the Indent part faced toward the engine, thats how I remember it.
Any help would be appreciated. I'm now taking my worn out self to sleep and setting it aside till sunday.
It almost looks like the crank timing pulley is damaged? Anyway, the car won't start if the crank wheel is backwards, can't for the life of me remember which way it goes...
Crank pulley is damaged but its right where the notch is at the end of the damage. I will trouble shoot spark, try using a different crank sensor.
Right now the crank sensor is close enough where it scratches a CC slid in between. The timing wheel i believe is backwards atm, i switched it around just in case to double check.
What could help is if someone takes a look at the boss crank find the alignment piece on the pulley (the little long nub) and then follow it straight to the outside, and tell me if the nub is on the timing plate is on the left or right of the alignment hole/nub
I don't remember which way the wheel goes, but a search here, m.net, or google should tell you.
I would replace that broken gear.
Also I would use a screwdriver in sparkplug 1 to confirm that you have the lower one at TDC. With it broken I can't see where the mark should be, and screwdriver test is an easy way to make sure it's TDC.
