K series Miata swap

Only douche here is you, if you're not interested in the subject don't come in the thread, if you're of the opinion the K motor is a failure then the thread title should've warded you off.
Watching this build with interest, less weight than a BP and BP turbo power is win in my book.
My only concerns are issues for RHD miatas.

I aint even mad. I think its a stupid idea and I said why. I dont know why everybody has to lose their **** every time someone makes a long post with some hyperbole in it.

Well clubbroadster is full of FTB's in the thread over there about this swap, several, "This engine swap is dumb, just do a v8" comments. Although someone did bring up a good point about the durability of the 6sp spinning at 8-8.5k rpm and with 250-300whp. That and the gearing issue with them.

I never once said the K series is a failure. I just think that the F is better and that the K is given way more credit that it deserves.

I've been running a K in my car since '09. The K is not car show hype. Its perfect road racing power, just look at NASA HC1 cars and the lap times they run with only OEM internals. I'm guessing you haven't driven a K swapped Honda before. They are painless to maintain and the powerband is unlike any other NA Honda I've ever driven (including S2000s).
Stay tuned for track videos and dyno graphs.

Guy's, I'm mad at myself that I failed you on Monday for whoring pictures. I ended up getting drunk and drunk dialing acab to find out I was like 4 hours late.
I promise I will sneak over there soon and get the inside look. Since I don't think Adam, Austin, or Dave know how to use a camera. :P

I'm all for engine swaps.
But I'm all for K.I.S.S. even more so when it comes to race cars.
Why/what made you want to go with this option.
Over
1. fitting this motor to a S2000? Is the handing that bad?
I would of though the drive train would be more suited, to higher power/rpm.
2. (flame suit on) the NC comes already with a pretty wicked 2lt. With plenty of bolt on bits. The UK lads seem to pump out some really good numbers with this motor.
Not trying to rain on your build, just trying to work out, the though process, why you see this as a better option.

S2000 is going to be 600 lbs. heavier at race weight, and a clean Miata is about 25% of the cost of a clean S. Miata is going to be a lot cheaper and faster for a K swap. Not to mention the high cost of parts/consumables of the S vs. an NA or NB.
As far as the NC, same problem. Lot higher cost for the car, plus turbo, which is something we are not interested in for road racing at this time.
We've all heard "cheap, fast, reliable, pick two." Well this is our best attempt to pick all three.
2200 lb. with driver, and 230 whp, 190 wtq with 100% OEM Honda engine/reliablility. Thats not going to happen with an S or NC, especially at the price point we are going for.
