Question related to the heater core pipes when using the OEM K24A2 intake manifold:
1) Would it be possible to retain the heater core functionality? I.E. Re-routing the inlet/outlet pipes on the engine bay side, only?
2) Is that the OEM K24A2 throttle body as well?
3) Is it possible to use the B Series TPS on that throttle body?
Love that you are trying all these manifold combinations while you are in this stage. I am planning a "keep allthethings OEM" build with a K24 and this info would help greatly.
Thanks.

Hard to have a functioning heater without a heater core, which is what forego means.
The right way to do it is with the S2k mani if I understand correctly. But the TSX mani will do in a pinch if you don't need a heater.

All of that I understand. I saw the few hundred dollars in an intake manifold and an adapter plate and would personally rather fab an intake and re-route the heater core inlets/outlets to accommodate an intake manifold that might come on the long block when purchased. Because cheaper and I like to build things.

Big news from today...the motor is now running! ![yippee](https://www.miataturbo.net/images/smilies/yippee.gif)
Punch list for test drive is down to:
1) Add two "tight" hangars to exhaust to resist sideloading
2) Wire up dash temp gauge (sensor already installed in water plate)
3) re-install dash sans heater core
4) Finish Intake tube/filter
Plan is to take the car to Daytona next week to display at the GRM tent during the Rolex 24. Stage 1 of the build will see print shortly (article already submitted). Picking up a lightweight hardtop from Treasure Coast while I am there. Cage build starts when I get back.
For now, I'm leaving the Lovefab header as it came. Not sure if it will be the final thing on the car. I'll be testing some alternatives.

Honda VTEC Turbo four-cylinder engine confirmed for the U.S. | Digital Trends
Does anyone know if the ~280Hp 2.0L turbo charged civic type R motor is a K-series engine? Or is it a brand new architecture?
If it's K-series this might provide a source for turbo manifolds to boost k-miatas. Also possibly interchangeable high performance parts to play legos with.
If not, k-miata company might have their next engine swap kit project for more miata/honda awesomeness.

Also, It is rumored that the manifold is cast into the head.

Plus they are back to putting the exhaust on the front side of the engine like the old engines. So the head has to be pretty different right there.
I guess there is always the possibility the rotating assembly is similar, but probably not.
