Injector response time 99 Miata???
#6
went off of this thread initially that I found after a few seconds of searching
https://www.miataturbo.net/ecus-tuni...d-times-60240/
frankly, that deadtime works fine until someone is able to properly find their specific deadtime with the logging method

are you still stuck on the 1.2ms from the old *** rx7 550's? have you done any research? Funny thing is, I even said the exact same thing you said to another guy in another thread and edited my response as I found evidence that the NB injectors are actually a newer design than NA's. So I tried it out
Should be the same generation as the rx8 injectors, or whatever the "EV6" design is. These are 256cc injectors, not some crazy large slow injector
Oh yeah, and the car tuned easily, drives great and idles perfectly with that deadtime. My friend still has yet to find the specific injector time with the deadtime method on this forum, but I really don't see what your problem is with that setting. He uses his car as a daily. Stock 99

RX8, you stupid ******. 8. 8>7. They are both denso, they look identical, one is yellow, one red. Don't you ******* tell me research, I've done mine.
RX8 is EV6, which I used, and settled with a dead time of 1.2ms. 99 = ev6, so it would have a similar deadtime. In the thread telling you how to measure it yourself, people with the same RX8's found similar 1.1-1.2ms numbers.
So why do you think they are .6, or twice as fast? Really?
Do research, because you suck at it.

chill dood. then this guy is obviously wrong. There's no way rx7 550 ev1's and rx8 425 ev6's have the same deadtimes. plus the injectors is much much much smaller

Yeah, that is wrong. Use google to search, the right value is closer to 1.0.

there are other threads too that point to a lower deadtime than 1.2ms not on mt.net
Rx8 Injector Deadtime - Forced Induction & N/A Power Mods - MX5Nutz Forum
OP, most important thing is that you figure out, after you get the car running, so just put it in whatever range you feel is reasonable, aka 1.0ms, and then log it and go through the process in this thread. simple as that :P oem injectors can run a range of whatever so you gotta figure out what yours are at
