id850 enough for mid 3XX whp
I hate asking but I've been looking around(its mostly E85 stuff) and I may need opinions of the experts. I'm looking for new injectors to run the 1.8 w/ BNR 18G turbo(~21-23psi max).Always thought ID1000s would get me to 330-350whp(calculated max on the turbo is 375whp) safely on 91 pump and have lots of headroom.
I am able to get id850s for half of the cost and I'm just wondering; Anyone with actual experience. Is there still enough headroom with these(car will be tracked).
Edit, realized I would add some background:
It is a street driven track car (NA) w/ AEM Ems
Stuck with the 6spd (vs BMW trans) so Im limited there
DW300 pump, Fuellab 510 fpr (43.5 currently)

Perfect! I have used the calculators (says 367whp for 80% duty and 43.5psi) but I'm looking for people with real world usage. The turbo efficiency apparently maxes out in the 375whp area so as long as I have that covered safely I won't have to worry about fueling in the future.
Yes 91 pump gas (Canada has 1 E85 station that I know of in the whole country).

We have 94 in Canada don't you have Mohawk or Husky stations around there? I'm using 800cc ev14 injectors which are basically id850's. My power goals are about the same as yours. ev14 injectors love fuel pressure so you could run em at 60psi base pressure and they would be pretty happy with good atomization.

I mean ya SOME Petro's have 94 but it can be a pain finding the ones that do. Ive always ran/tuned for 91 which I can find everywhere then choose to run 94 If I want or extra safety (hot AF days or track days etc)
Interesting on the higher pressure; Ill have to look into that

Injector Dynamics Slope & Offset vs Pressure : Injector Dynamics Support
That has the chart that lists flow rate vs pressure. At 65psi those id850's flow 1090cc.
edit: also try the ID calculator.

850cc on pump will definitely support 350whp, however the part that will be a challenge will be making that much power safely on 91. You'll have to run super conservative timing at 20+ psi that's going to be the bigger issue here. I think if I were tracking it I would turn the boost down to the 15psi range if you're using 91 octane, it just doesn't have a lot of detonation resistance.

350WHP pump gas track car seems to be asking for trouble... but if you have enough fuel pump you can always raise base pressure a bit and you'll have plenty of overhead.
Suggest either lowering power goals for track use or setting up flex fuel and ordering in your own barrel of the stuff for track days.

Thanks for the responses guys; I went for the 850s.
Also yes the car will be run on the track; but I will have a lower boost map for that. Safety first kids. Street tune I want to aim for that(or at least be able to get there safely) and be happy with less. Motor is built and 8.6:1 pistons.
