Whoa, slow down.
This is what that should have looked like:
Hi, I recently just bought a 1991 Mazda Miata. It has the 1.6L and a 5spd. I'd like to increase the power, but turbos scare me. I've heard there is a chance to throw a rod or piston.
I'm open to anything, even if it means swapping in a new engine and trans. I plan on putting in a 6spd anyways.
I don't have much experience with foreign cars, so I'm open to suggestions. What would you recommend for the most power.
There now that we have something understandable...
Many people do v8 swaps. The info is out there, you need to do some research though. You can also go the turbo route, it is only as safe as you make it. Ensure you are starting with a good engine, use proper engine management, and with a good tune you will be fairly safe.

Ok, I recently purchased a 1991 Mazda Miata MX-5 1.6l w/ 5spd. I want to go faster. I know if I install a turbo it will be faster. However, I am afraid if I turbo the car it will start throwing rods and pistons. I'm open to anything, even engine and transmission swaps because I planned on putting a 6 spd in. However, I am not familiar with foreign cars. I don't know what to do or what swaps are possible.I want to be able to put the biggest engine and transmission I can properly install. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Please install a huge V8 so I can rape it with my 1.6

If you want to go fast, get two magnets. Attach one to the front of your hood. Now get a large pole, and attach the other magnet to it. Now mount this pole on your hood and position it so that the magnet attached to the pole hangs in front of the magnet on your hood. You now have infinite power.

Newb.
Try making an intro post in the MeetnGreet section so we can get to know you better. It's hard to give specific advice without knowing your technical capabilities, experience, and equipment level.
Then read all of the stickied FAQs and write-ups. They're infinitely valuable.
I'll be nice and give you your first piece of real advice:
Read into engine management first if you don't like picking up chunks of motor off the street.
Everyone that is scared of turbos has one thing in common: They're also scared of proper engine management theory and application (aka tuning).

Welcome to MiataTurbo.net.
One from a Miata.
(This isn't a smartass answer, there was only one Miata 6-speed transmission, offered as an option in the '99 and later cars.)
Honestly, the 6-speed is only necessary for the folks making upwards of 250 HP, which is quite a lot in a car this light. The vast majority of us (myself included) are using the standard 5-speed. If it breaks, you'll know that you needed a 6-speed. If it does not break, you'll know that you didn't.
Could someone tell me just what 6 Speed Tranny my B6ZE(RS) 1.6L will hook up too?

I have read where guys are using the 01 miata's 6 Speed I'm just curious if maybe I should just stick with my 5spd?
