Default Car killing iac valves

91 chassis, 00 motor, ms3x

Valves are getting stuck open. 3 used ones, 2 cheap Amazon ones and now a $250 parts store valve. No vacuum leaks, the valves are sticking open.

At this point I'm thinking my blow off valve is faulty and killing them but I've already changed it once.

Ready to burn this car the **** down.

One thing you need to remember is cars don't respond to emotion. It does you no good to get angry at it, the problem won't fix itself. I find it always helps to step back and work on something else. Attach a log and a tune of the "stuck open" IAC, I personally have never seen this, even with cars without BOVs. The NB valves are simple solenoids that open more or less with varying levels of duty cycle. Let us look at a log and make sure it's not actually commanding extra duty cycle for some reason.

100% sticking, unplugging them does nothing. I've neither read or seen anything like this pulling my hair out.

Currently in the car to get a log for you and it's behaving perfectly.

You said valves are getting stuck open, implying they work at first but get stuck open after a bit of time? How long are they good for before sticking open? You've confirmed this with all of the valves removed from the vehicle?

Curly's right about getting a log. I just want to understand what's happening completely.

It was happening quickly on the road maybe 30mins to a hour. But hour of idle before that was fine.

Honestly think I had bad luck and was just getting bum units. Current one is working great and has since after I made this post

Sucks to know the current state of aftermarket parts is such that so many replacement units could have been sh*t right out of the box. Glad to hear it's working well for now.
