Question Can't Find NB Exhaust Cam... Options?

I swapped my NA head out for an 01-05 NB VVT head. Unfortunately it didn't come with a significant portion of the parts it should have. I have both cams, and I have the intake cam gear, but I need the NB exhaust cam gear. Firstly, is there a benefit to having an adjustable cam gear on the exhaust side? That would probably make buying one easy, and appears to be the only option. I feel like I'm missing something because when I search for the intake cam gear on eBay there's usually a couple, but I've never seen the exhaust cam gear. Could I use the one from my old NA head?

Thanks!

I've heard that there is little benefit to using an adjustable cam gear on the exhaust side (even though I have one on my NB1 - more for the "bling" than anything else). I think that the NA exhaust cam gear is identical to the NB gear - but will defer to someone with first-hand experience. I might have a cam gear laying around somewhere if you're interested.

IIRC all the cam gears are the same other than: the MSM intake gear (advanced or retarded 2 deg or something) and the NB1 intake cam gear (has nubs for the cam sensor)

NB1 has nubs on both gears (they're identical parts), but only uses them on the intake. Whether or not the indexing pins are in the same location between an NB1 cam gear and an NA I don't know.

Its very likely, actually I am fairly certain they are the same. I did a timing belt on an 10ae and an 95 na at the same time a few months ago. I did not compare the gears, however with the timing marks lined up the teeth all looked the same, but both did not line up perfectly on the exhaust, with or without a new belt. What I am saying, is the cams are degreed like **** from the factory, the cam can sit a little off the mark. I don't know how you can fix this with a vvti intake, but it can be corrected with an adjustable cam gear, or don't give a **** and throw whatever part you have laying around
