BP M20 Oil filter/cooler rod removal
Can the M20 threaded rod in the block which supports the filter and cooler be removed with 2 nuts backed up to each other for block cleaning, painting etc?
Do you need to apply any sealant/thread locker to it on re-installation?
I don't wish to rip it out and then find I did a booboo.
Many thanks

No sealant needed, nor did I opt to use any thread locker. It threads in there pretty tight IIRC. Plus with how mine is setup the oil filter is now pretty much right up against the intake manifold brace, so I don't think it's going anywhere haha.
For painting or cleaning you could probably just tape it up pretty easily though and save yourself the trouble.
