The crazy part is that Pat will have that engine in and making power in less than a weekend. Then purposely exploded by Sunday, just in time for dinner.

Useless point of reference: a 1900cc air cooled vw will vent all 4 cylinders at about 20 psi.

I meant at a given RPM, power is directly proportional to average cylinder pressure. Just trying to make the distinction between average pressure (power) and peak pressure. I'm simplifying some of it as it gets complicated since there are so many variables at play. Crank angle affects things, and I'm ignoring that for this discussion for example.

That IS useless. Even if the context was a discussion about VW motors.
