1.6 throttle on 1.8 manifold with no spacers or adapters.
Alright, I started mating my old 1.6 throttle body to my 1.8 intake manifold, and am not positive on a few things. Before yall get started, ive done a **** ton of reading, and nobody has definitively answered it.
I know there is a spacer.
Im not paying 60 bucks for it, it will mess up my ic piping, I don't want to wait on it, and i enjoy fiddling. And i dont want to spend 60 bucks. Because college.
I have access to aluminum welder, and all the cutting tools I could ever need.
I have my tb mated up already, with no interferences.
Had to trim some stuff to make that work.
the 2 top holes line up perfectly, and the bottom 2 are close.
Plan is to just drill and tap those, maybe a nut on the side with room for a nut.
Anyways, idle ****. What do I do about the opening on the bottom of the throttle body? Do I need to make a port so that has a path into the intake manifold???
Excuse all of the assembly lube, was checking clearance.
