Thumbs down Gauge Cluster

What is up guys, I have a 1991 Miata that i recently swapped a spec miata motor into it. Im not sure whats so different from a "spec" motor compared to stock but i can sure feel it when i gas it. Any who, after i did the swap my gauges would not work, the back light would be there but the speedo, oil and water gauges where screwed. After looking at some youtube videos i decided to hit up some real car guys on a forum and ask for help.
1.) If its shorted where do i find the cables/plugs to see if thats the problem.
2.) My car has been exposed to water, the interior mostly it has rained with my widows down countless times, my bad is that a problem?
3.) Where are the fuses for the Gauges in the hood? Are they even in the hood?
4.) Ive double checked then triple checked my double check to make sure everything was back in place after the motor swap so i feel like it might be something else but Im probably wrong.
Also my windows wont roll up, the connection was fine but they just wont roll up, im not sure what the problem is.

Thanks for the help guys!

Check the ground under the brake master cylinder.

There's a ground strap from the back of head to the chassis on the exhaust side, as mentioned.
