starts then dies
well i tried installing a ms1 and ended up frying my ignitor and coils. i now have cops with the stock ecu and all it will do is start and die, and i have no tach. im 100% sure the wiring is correct. i have checked the schematics and trouble shooted with a multimeter, and everything is good. could something else be fried also?

im not sure who it was built by. i bought it from falcon. he had it running in his car, but im not realy worried about getting the car running on the ms right now. im trying to keep things simple by getting it running on the stock ecu right now. the afm is installed.
after my first failed attemp to get it running on the ms i hooked the stock ecu back up and it started and died, and had no tach. i figured it was the igniter. so i reconfigured the ms and tried to get it to atleast crank with no luck. during this attempt i heard a loud pss sound, so i went back to stock to see what i had and it wouldnt crank. so i did a cop conversion, and now it cranks but i have no tach and it starts and dies. with the ms i was never able to get it to even crank, and it killed my batery in just a few seconds. so i will have to look over the ms thoroughly befor i reinstall it.

just found out i have continuity between the blk/wht tach wire and 12v blue wire. im not 100% this isnt right is it?i checked this cause i found 12v on the tach wire when its supposed to be .5v with key on engine off.

something has to be grounding out because i just got my battery jumped off a few hours ago and its dead. i havent even tried to crank it after i took the cables off. so either ive developed a dead battery (which i think is unlikely) or i have a short somewere correct?

well i made a mistake. i was checking resistance from 12v blue to ground blk wire. so i have .03 ohms here on the harness that plugs into the ignitor, and the ecu is unhooked.

heres wat i believe the culprit is. look right in the center of the pic. you are looking for a grey and black piece. not sure if its a capaciter or resister. so much for keeping things simple huh!
