So I am still reviewing and hunting, sorta preventative and sorta for tuning and I noticed that with a stethescope I can hear pinging at idle on the low end of block. I lowered timing from 14 to 12, still there. I have a JDM-BPT. Is this just a normal sound or very early sound of bearing failure since I can not hear it yet with just my ears? I have had a couple engine stumbles at high rev on the road but might have been boost cuts or maybe LS coil failure or my engine is about to explode. I mean its only 30+ years old and the only thing I never replaced was the bearings. Pulling the crank was the one job I have totally dreaded and not done.
Thanks

Today a few times when accelrating but not when i got on highway, i heard a weird grind, almost like starter grinding so now i gotta check that out. Coolant overflowed also on some fo the cables when i was stopped. Might need new coolant cap. And lastly i noticed AC purged a little. I am not actually overheating, MS says 202 degrees. AC is also otherwise working but i just topped it off this week.
