Default Need a recommendation for a tuner in/around CT

I am out of time so I want to pay a shop to finish a few things for me, main thing is the tune. Only place I know of is Dentsport but they are a good 2+ hours from here and a tad difficult for me to get to due to business hours and my inability to take time off from work.

Can anybody make a recommendation for a shop to finish up strong for me?

For those that care: MS1, ID1000's, t3/t04b, 1886cc w/ 99 head, 90 chassis

So I am currently looking into:

Daves tuning alternatives:
-Tuned a few cars on MS1
-Tuned a few BPT's
-Mainly deals with honda's
-Asks $450 for 2 hours on the dyno and $75/hr after

Chassis Dyno in Danbury:
-Tuned Vashes car
-Does a lot of big power drag cars
-Vashes car is the last MS car they tuned
-Reasonable price for tuning

Dentsport:
-Lots of MS experience
-Tuned mightymouse's car
-$500 to get the tune done and $100/hr after

Any input would be appreciated if you have another shop in mind or have any input on one of these.

I vote dentsport but I know thats a haul. I wish I could help you more man, but I agree..i think its time to just hand it over to a pro and let them sort it out. We live too far apart and are always on opposite schedules. Plus I have learned its near impossible to street tune someone elses car to the point where you are happy with it. Its much eaiser to just hop in your own car and do a few logs whenever you want.

My only suggestion is that you do as much as possible to get your car 100% functioning before you hand it over to someone who charges $$. We both know there were countless issues we ran into when we could have been tuning!

Beers and strippers... thats how you get a guy to come back

shooting a freeze plug 10 feet across the room followed by a gusher of hot coolant... not so much.

Good times... good times..

I recommend going to Jeff.

He and I were the only ones at the shop during my session, which went from one afternoon into a second afternoon the next day. In total, probably 25 pulls for somewhere in the neighborhood of $600. He let me drive it on the dyno and do some of the tuning too, which is a lot more fun than watching it from the sidelines.

Everyone says my map is dangerous and granted I haven't exactly been putting a ton of miles on it, but I'm making good power. Car runs like a raped ape!

I'll be going back for any future tuning needs. If you end up going let me know so you can swing by our shop, I'm literally 5 mins from the dyno.

My second choice would be Jannetty Racing over in Waterbury. I had them tune my Greddy setup years back and had a good experience with them. The owner was a little more uptight than Jeff, but eventually by the end of the day I got a tour of the shop and their personal cars. Definetly good people.

Thanks for the input, and I'll call the other place and see what they have to say.
