Default How do you remove the EGR?

I have an '02 Miata, stock computer with a piggyback (PC PRO & PC Pro Timing). How can the EGR valve & tube be removed & not get a code set? Is there some way to simulate it at the plug connector?

No advice to get a 'squirt or other stand alone please!

Thanks, this is my first post here. I was told "if it can be done to a Miata, the guys on this forum have been there done that"!!

Just close the pipe up. Leave wires connected. EGR plate on ebay works perfect.

Just wondering, why don't you want EGR? I can understand if you are running aftermarket **** with no hookups... but EGR is a good thing.

oh, btw.. https://www.miataturbo.net/forum/t34477/

It keeps setting a code & I hate to look at the damn light!
Also it makes it easier to do a coolant bypass-- no hot egr pipe to be concerned with.

oh! thanks Greddymx5 I'll try it!
I really would like to get rid of the EGR valve though, as it clutters up the engine compartment.
