FlyinMiata vTPS not working while engine running
Long time lurker, first time poster.
I'm running a DIYPNP v1.5 in my '91. Been running it for over a year with the Flyin Miata 'TPS upgrade kit for NA6' and no issues. Just a few months ago I added a CX RACING turbo kit and Monza catback, again with no issues. The car still runs fine, but I have been trying to hook up launch control and I have noticed that I do not get any values for TPS with the engine running. I am not sure if this is a recent development, or if it has always been a problem and I just never noticed. The car does not have AC, and I did not wire the PNP for it. To enable launch control, I jumped 1v to Input2 In, then Input2 Out to Flex (as described in a blogspot post). I was trying to test launch control by setting the limiter to 2500, soft limit at 200, and TPS for 10%, but as I pressed on the gas the TPS needle would range from -.3 to 1.2 but not move higher as revs increased. With the engine off but the vehicle powered on, I can press on the gas and watch the TPS needle sweep through the ranges on my laptop, tracking the exact amount of throttle I am giving it. I tried re-calibrating and saw no change. I am assuming this is what is preventing launch control from working, since throttle position is not reading high enough to enable it. Has anyone experienced anything similar?
