My turbo project is close to completion except the turbo :-p
so for now I have the engine running on the stock ecu as the engine is pretty much stock except the wiseco 8:5.1 pistons k1rods arp studs cometic headgasket and upgraded oil pump.
i recently acquired a me221, I know most of you guys here run MS but here in Europe ME is more supported by tuners.
I know taking the car to the tuner will be quickest way to get the car running as it should but I would also like to learn something here.
I’ve got the startup, warmup and idle dialed in really good I would even say better than the stock ecu, also the AFR’s are rocksteady and within .3 throughout the map.
but….. the only thing I’m quite hesitant to touch is the spark map as we all know this can get expensive pretty quick, I have the idea that the spark map is a bit to retarded after 4500rpm as the engine seems to lose a lot of power.
i haven’t got a knock sensor installed yet and I will most probably make myself some det cans soon but I would like to have your opinion on this spark map.
i will scale the map to be NA soon so I will have a bit more resolution if that’s even needed?
I know I’m still a bit of newb but i cannot ask my dad as he only knows carburetors and mechanical ignition
Can you edit the columns? If you have a BP, there's barely a reason for 7500, but really no reason for 8000, 8500, and 9000.
That being said, it's weird that you don't have a 100kpa row, as that's WOT for naturally aspirated. So you're constantly interpolating between your 84 and 110 kpa row. But literally reading between the lines, it look ok to me.

Is it ? Maybe in the UK, but even that's a stretch.
Try the "ME221/ME360/ME442 ECU Tuning & Tips" facebook group. This silly forum software auto-edits a group link and tries to embed it, obviously failing to do so.
(I'd still try to sell the ME asap and get an MS3 instead)

yep I’ll do the scaling somewhere today and try to make it as smooth as possible, you are right with WOT it’s interpolating between the 2 lines but the majority of the “problems” are occurring around the 75-90kpa where the car seems to be very hesitant and almost misfiring even though the afr is steady around 13,2
I’ll post my new spark map later today 💪

here in the Netherlands there are quite a few tuners which are familiar with ME and after spending nights and nights reading about MS and ME I found that the functions are about the same even ME has a bit more advance knock control (correct me if I am wrong)
and as I am still a novice in tuning road going vehicles and I have to learn or meite or tunerstudio I think it does not really matter for me right now
