Default went to the drag strip again.....

went again on a whim friday night..... stock wheels and tires, still open differential..... It was a show to say the least!

first run I get pitted against this beast of a mustang..... huge slicks, motor out the hood, nitrous, etc.... I pull up, do a quick tire spin through the burnout box because it's chilly out and to clean the tires off..... I look back, he does a MASSIVE burnout, looks over at me, and purges his bottle a couple times

so we both stage perfectly, the lights drop, I get a killer launch (2.30 on stock tires), he pulls a 2.0... and I'm at his door...... 2nd gear goes in like butter for the first time in like a year.... and I'm at his bumper......(despite the wheelspin under boost), I go for 3rd and I grind it.... BAD.... twice..... put the car in 5th think i'm in 3rd hit the gas realize I'm in 5th and put it in 3rd

he Breaks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and runs a 14 flat at 98..... I pull a 14.7 at 103

2nd run, against an old GTO on drag radials........

I stage, same process through the burnout box as before, just to clear the tires and ****..... Douchebag in the GTO does his enormous burnout..... and then can't stage to save his soul!!!!!!!!!!!!

so I'm not paying attention, I've let the car down off of launch control etc.... and THEY DROP MY LIGHT BECAUSE THEY'RE TIRED OF HIM

so I still manage a 2.36 60ft..... and I had decided I was going to concentrate on making my shifts slow and steady..... still spinning under boost until 4th gear on these tires and pedaling the car through 1st and
2nd....

I run a 14 flat at 107......

I need more tire..... probably going to borrow my buddies civic slicks for ***** and giggles next time around.....

The car has low 13's in it...... I may not, but the car does

yeah, there were an odd number of us in my lane and I was the final guy.... so I was like "oh great I get to run alone"..... and the announcer guy has to go and say "that Miata looks lonely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bring that mustang from the next lane on up!)

imagine my dismay at the fact that his slicks made it all the way up to eye level in my car....... I was so angry that I missed that gear, If I hadn't I could have pulled a 13 second run out of that pass and beaten his broke *** mustang....... ARGHHHHHHHHHHH!

They say "ignore that tubed-framed bastard next to you! haha"

Trapping 107 shows good potential. Nice.

If a mustang with slicks cuts a 2.0, you know that track isn't hooking at all. Great MPH though. Mind me asking what your 1/8th times/speeds were. That's what my in-brain reference tables are set up for.

2.30 is a killer launch? You should really be able to feather the clutch and pull a 2.0. The cold certainly isn't your friend though. What tire pressure are you running on the rear?

Right (lol) that's why there's a "haha" there. It's impossible. Some of the muscle cars are stupid loud, and that's when I'm in the stands. Next time, it's earplugs FTW.

That's why he's a bastard too.

Nice run anyway. 107 shows some power.

I'm kinda surprised at the trap speeds. 81 in the eighth but 108 in the quarter?
I trapped 84.7 in the 1/8th but there's no way i'm making more or even as much power as you.

You've definitely got LOW 13s, high 12s in it anyway though with some slicks.

making 260 wheel at 12psi on a t3/t4 custom setup with Hydra nemesis standalone....

I think the 1/8th mile trap is an indicator of my wheelspin issues..... They just blow up when I hit 5 grand or so..... it's ridiculous
