headed to the strip tonight

/\Yeah, me too.
I definitely love both the looks and handling of the car, and on the street, the power is pretty respectable. It's a fun car to build and drive.
I saw dcvn? running 12's on stock motor and figured I could get close to those numbers but...no. Not yet anyway.

Kinda sorta, he's told me a little bit about it through text. And he sends me pictures of parts he's putting on it. But i'm not sure until he officially posts something about it.

bfg rivals 205/50/15.
Now that I had a closer look at the 14psi run, you notice that from 1000ft to 1320ft my mph stayed at 95 due to the clutch slipping halfway through fourth. In the other run at 10psi, I picked up 9mph from the 1000ft mark to the 1320 since the clutch held up ok at that boost level.
I think if the clutch would of held up at 14psi I could have trapped over 100 for sure and probably would of seen 13.9 or better, even with that shitty 60ft.
IDK, enough with all this desktop racing, I just ordered the FM stage 2, and I'm gonna start piecing together parts to convert over to a return fuel system and up the boost.
Hopefully if I can find the time, I'll make another trip out there before the season ends.

To be honest, I didn't change anything with the tires or suspension before hand, I didn't even do any burnouts prior to staging. I didn't notice any wheelspin either, but I didn't brake boost at all. I just held revs at 4k and slipped the clutch off the starting line. I know there is more in this car as it sits, but it needs the clutch asap. Tire pressure was 30psi f/r
The clutch I have now is supposed to be rated for 290ftlbs at the flywheel, I seriously doubt I exceeded that even at 14lbs. It was installed correctly and the flywheel got resurfaced before it all went back together last winter. F1 clutches are ****.

Yeah, i doubt that as well. Don't be sad about the times, just fix it and go back so you can get an actual baseline. Do you have any 3rd/4th gear logs on a straight road so we can run your car through virtual dyno?

I'll only get to run 1/8th mile in two weeks but I'm hoping for the 1/4 equivalent of a 12.3. It's at least my goal. Should have a chance.
302 V8 at 279WHP/308TQ
T5 trans with King Cobra clutch
8.8 rear with 3.73's
Brand new (but a year old) 205/50/15 MT ET Street drag radials on 15x8 6ULs
For suspension setup I'm thinking setting the Tein Flex full soft in the rear to start, fairly firm in the front and will stiffen up the rear as needed. Thoughts?

You'll love that stage 2, i bought one after using the stage one for a while.
I made MULTIPLE hot passes at Milan during a 95F day launching and flat footing and the clutch loved every minute of it.
Seriously, go faster than me. You HAVE to, and with a good clutch i have no doubts you will.
Because desktop racing.

I'm a long way removed from drag racing so take the following as being worth what you paid me for it:
That sounds reasonable. The one thing I would watch on the rear dampers is to try and avoid "porpoising" where you get a lot of bounce in the rear end. I'm not talking about rapid shudder or wheel hop, but more that you get so much squat and then so much release-of-that-squat on power transfer (like shifts) that you get big shocks to the tires or drivetrain.
That ties in to your "stiffen the rear as needed."
