GT2554R Record??? leads to a run of the mill EFR build
#241
What can I say, I have learned to live by the mt.net bible. Will you all allow one noob question? (It's more of a poll) Research says the VICS manifold out-performs the VTCS manifold even with VTCS deleted. But is it worth paying for a complete VICS manifold and ditching the VTCS manifold I already have? Or is it just a "yeah I definitely felt a difference bro" modification? And is $100 a steal for a complete VICS manifold?
Thanks
Thanks
Definitely worth it

and then you notice the vtcs plummets past 6500 while vics holds making the difference more like 30-40 up top.

Godless Commie retained his oil squirters and had his oil control rings fail. Honestly you should still be good WITH them, but I am personally not taking the risk.

Gregs latest video is great. A chunk of block actually broke off.
Post some pics.
Also, which one of you commented and asked if he was going to be running a SADFab manifold.

Has Greg not talked about his new setup yet? He is going with a MKTurbo setup, but instead of the standard T3 ChinaCharger he is going with the nice big EFR 9180 that was just for sale in the classifieds.

Well after breaking a 1.6 block it was decided breaking a 1.8 block was the next logical challenge. We talked about putting Faeflora's old setup on his car, but he wanted to keep AC/PS so we decided against it. So then we went to the EFR 9180, once we figured out we could get a t3 housing for it, it because an easy choice. Because my manifold already works with AC/PS and this turbo should be big enough to crack a 1.8 block.

LOLL 9180 Y'all are hilarious. Literally nobody knows what my setup is yet except for Aidan. I want to at least keep it somewhat of a surprise to reveal on YouTube once I get a few more bits in.
