Default will it fit?

so im getting a ms 2 ecu and custom loom fitted for my mk 1 mx5 1.6, the tuner i use stated i should swap the throttle position sensor for a 1.8 on ad the 1.6 only has an on off. my question is will a 1.8 throttle body the throttle position sensor fit in place of the 1.6 one?
it wont matter about the wiring difference as im getting the custom loom
many thanks Joe

Buy the BMW kit from FM, or print your own bracket & use a Kia sensor

https://www.flyinmiata.com/tps-upgrade.html
https://www.miataturbo.net/miata-par...s-1-6-a-94372/

Modify harness accordingly.

or buy BMW part number 0-280-120-406
follow these instructions to rewire it
Variable TPS - My Turbo Miata Photo Journal

Then bolt it right on. Cheaper than the FM kit, just requires some soldering.

Those BMW/Bosch parts are not cheap any longer. Go with the Kia part.

The BMW sensor itself is $20 more than the entire kia swap, add to that you have to hack into the harness and wire on a BMW pigtail. The kia is the same as the Mazda OEM connector, it plugs right in.

Ysleem is located in Mount Pleasant, SC. Where are you located? You can add your location in your profile, and it will show. Maybe you're on a phone so it does not show? This is how the last two posts look on my computer:
