E46Nate I made that mistake already too. The FM happy meal clutch is advertised as "Level 1 or 2", not Stage 2. Wouldn't want to make the cardinal (or mortal) error of making a slip with the lingo. It would end up on your grave stone.
"Here lies E46Nate. He was totally Stage 3. 2/5/2018"
As a long time lurker here and recently joining in the fun, E46Nate, its not you. It most certainly is them. Like everyone else on the internet. Everyou since ye olden days of dial up BBS's.
Oh and thanks Sixshooter. Now I'm watching old Quickdraw Magraw videos on youtube.

:
Did he actually buy an FM clutch though?
Most newbs who say they bought "stage XX" bought some garbage on eBay.
Based on the response, I'm not sure if he's even aware that there is more than one engine available in these cars.

nah I didn’t buy no ebay garage I got an Exedy Stage 2 clutch kit
Ok, numbers are good, just not so much those numbers. Clutch tq numbers not specifically listed as wheel tq can be assumed to be flywheel tq. So subtracting ~25 tq for drivetrain loss, you're looking at being able to put down ~165 wtq. Is that in line with the rest of your power goals and build? The rest of your build should support at least 200 wtq btw. Clutch jobs are annoying, and clutches aren't cheap.

im really not trying to make too much power I’m only looking to get 180-200 hp or maybe less. Looking around 8-10 psi I think that clutch will hold for now. probably next year I’ll upgrade when I build the motor. I can still return this clutch I have, do you think I should just go with the flying Miata level 1?
