Default VW Diverter on FM intake tube

Hello. I was hoping someone could confirm something.

I have FM IC-Intake tube with a port for a BOV. I believe the port is 1.75in and I was thinking of using the VW/Audi 1.8T diverter valve, however, I think this one is 1in.

If this is correct, what is the best way of connecting them both? 1.75in coupler -> 1.75in to 1in silicone reducer > DV?

Thanks
