This will be interesting to me as I am trying to decide wether or not to go with the TS Superior kit or the Greddy bolt on or maybe if I am feeling outgoing I might try a DIY kit.

ps: i decided to run this kit in "stock" form first to give a review of that first. then i will add megasquirt, 550cc injectors, wideband, intercooler, recirculated hks bypass valve, and raise my boost to about 12psi. when all of that comes in i will go to dyno tune everything and see what power levels i get

i really wanna see the components and quality of parts to see if it's something id reccomend over a greddy kit for a cheap pnp solution.

I wouldn't drive farther from home than you feel comfortable pushing it.

the rest of the pictures are on my friends camera. he will send them to me on monday.

kit opinion:
terrible quality pipes and down pipe. all piping is 2"
VERY decent manifold and extremely nice garrett gt2554

installation:
oil feed is way too long
water lines are EXTREMELY long and terrible mounting location by firewall
downpipe was hitting my steering column so we had to cut it, twist it, and re-weld it
charge pipes and intake are extremely hard to install and took me about an hour and a half to figure out. now my hood doesnt close properly
didnt even bother with bov - its total junk!
did not have time to install fuel pressure regulator but it looks just fine. of course its not begi but it should work ok
they sent me a whole bag (say 15 pcs) of extra 2" straight couplers and regular clamps. those are for sale i guess. they look ok. not the best quality but they should hold up to about 15psi of boost without a problem

started right away. no vacuum leaks or anything like that (thank god!) but once i took it for a test drive it went all the way to 15psi so i had to go back to the shop. played around with wastegate a little bit and it is at 8-10psi or so right now. a little too much but what are you going to do?..

so, what is my overall opinion on this kit? you get what you pay for! but i would definitely say that manifold and turbo are REALLY worth it! would i do it again? yes, but this time i would make custom down pipe right away and install intercooler (no, not theirs - thats for sure!) at the same time.

manifold looks very begi and you can't argue with a real garrett gt2554r, how much did you pay for the kit? i wonder if sell parts separate

also forgot to mention that box in which turbo and manifold came didnt have ANY packing nuts or anything of that sort. when i opened it up i found oil return fitting bent a little bit. wasnt really a big deal but it could be something else damaged! if anyone ever orders any of that stuff from me i will personally go to their warehouse and pick it up!

ok, i installed bov and fuel pressure regulator today. its ok... no problems so far. runs good in boost. BUT... i get some weird knocking sound after 7psi. its not loud but you can hear it. and it knocks very fast... what could it be?

Detonation.
Sounds like marbles falling all over the motor, or valves rattling.
Heat shield or something like that going nuts under power?

no, its not detonation. i had detonation with my jrsc and this is definitely not it. its much quieter and faster. no heat shields anywhere (still need to fabricate them). although i have fpr bolted right next to wi pump (yes, its under my hood!) and there is like 2mm distance between them. maybe they are hitting? but again... they would hit constantly, not only after 6psi...

one mroe thing - i am running 15-16 degrees of timing advance so that MIGHT be detonation although it really doesnt sound like it.
