the fellow that sold me a 6758 must have run this thing without a filter for its "5,000" miles. Compressor wheel is hammered. Luckily it looks like there is no contact with the compressor housing, shaft has no radial play and what feels like an acceptable about of thrust play
Pulled some strings and found an OEM replacement wheel, but I think it might be smart to have the whole thing gone through "while they are in there" to install and balance. My local guy's balancing machine is down, and appeared to be the only cat in California that still provides this service
I seem to remember on BW EFR's you end up replacing the bushing & seals anytime you try and replace the stupid expensive wheel especially the unobtanium alloy turbine wheel.
Last time I called Southeast Power Systems, I believe they told me it was like $850 to replace the center cartridge. this was ~2 years ago.
Tried SPS, they said they wouldn’t do it, because it’s too hard to get the parts for them, they did not want to be liable if something went wrong. For 850 you might as well get a new super core (if you can find one, SPS has been back ordered for a year)

the wheel wasn’t too bad, only a few bucks more than the import knockoff.
any more details there? Things get destroyed when you take it apart or?
I found a local shop that said they could take the job. Now I’m worried I’ll have a paperweight if they aren’t familiar with EFR’s
