Default Throttle body seal

Okay I have been going crazy trying to figure out why my car is idling around 3000 rpms. I recently got my VC IM TB all powered coated before is problem i am having. I have checked ever vac line 10 times and every mating surface for vac leaks and i have found nothing. At first i thought it was my iacv so i bought a used one and replaced it with no change in my idle at all. I have check to throttle body cable they are not 2 tight. The idle adjustmet screw does nothing to change the idle either. After sitting on it for a while I starting to look around for the problem again.

Yesterday I stumbled across a fourm talking about cleaning throttle bodies. What in this i learned about the mysterious"plastic" (not exacly what kinda of material it is) seal on the inside of the tb. that I believe on came on tb from 90-93 what my car is an 89(was imported) what i am guessing means mine as well. And this impractical company that did the power coating sand blasted the butterfly and surrounding surfaces. This is what the back of the butterfly looks like fully closed, PLz tell me this is my problem

More than any seal etc, that will cause issues.

The butterfly and bore block air by being a really close fit, with any coating just being a buffer for minor manufacturing tolerances.

By sandblasting BOTH the butterfly and the bore (why?) they've taken material away from both, making the gap too big (and that pic you've shown looks like a massive gap)

If you're lucky, it's not too bad and they've just moved the throttle stop screw, so you can wind it back and see if it works.

But yeah, the fact they sandblasted the thing, it's probably stuffed now.

Also, too late now, but make sure that whenever something like this is blasted that you check and clean every single hole, gallery, pipe etc.
A small pocket of loose blasting medium in the intake will pretty quickly kill an engine.

Throw the throttle body in the trash, buy another one.

That gap is HUGE, toss it and get another throttle body.
