As the title states, looking for oil drain parts for an efr6258 turbo. I was recommended not to go any smaller than the existing drain hole on the turbo, which is ~0.6".
Currently, I have a -10an oil drain with 38mm flange. The hole is approx 0.4", which is around half the surface area of the opening on the turbo.
Anyone have suggestions or recommendations for something more adequate? It does not need to be an AN fitting...more important that the continuous diameter is closer to 0.6" diameter from the turbo to oil pan. I've searched high and low for a ‐12an drain with 38mm flange, but no luck.
Is the -10an enough?
Thanks in advance

You basically can’t use the 3/8npt threads on the EFR. There’s flanges with a neck and -10 or -12 fitting welded to the end, that’s what you want. The number refers to the internal diameter in 16ths. So -10 is .625” diameter, but any fittings or adapters reduce that. Unless you want to start boring fittings on a lathe to take off excess material, it’s easier to source all -12 fittings. However im not sure if that flanged -12 exists.
I'm rocking a 5/8" hose barb flange, with no threads or sealing tapers they don't steal as much from the ID. Where you go into the pan you can use larger NPT threads to keep the diameter. Still under 5/8" though, more like 1/2."
There are 3/4 barbed flanges on the ebay, seemed like overkill to me.

Yeah, that's my current issue. Sourcing a -12an fitting w 38mm flange. There's a thread in here where someone made a custom drain but I don't see any options to purchase something similar.
