Ok so ive got a question Sam.

I did not put that little brass thing between the turbine and the CHRA, did you?
That picture is not from an sr20 turbo so im un sure if i forgot to put it in or if our turbo even uses that there. Thanks

Post#4 discusses the turbine side, and the bearing is mentioned and the first picture shows it installed.
When you disasembled your turbo, didn't you remove a bearing from either side?

yes, and i just am 99.9% sure thats why i smoke from the tailpipe for about 2 min on every cold start, after that its fine thoe. Weird, guess its time to pull the turbo off and put that bearing in.

I wouldn't be surprised if you find the shaft scored and the turbine blades have nicked the sides of the housing. At 100k+rpm, not having that bearing in means all the stress of keeping the shaft aligned rests on the front bearing... I can't believe it didn't grenade the thing the first time you got into boost.
