Default Project Two Point Blow (turbo help)

I'll get straight to the question then I'll ramble: does the Pulsar 4948g (G25-550) fit on an FM manifold and under the hood? I'm asking because I questionif there is physical room thus needing a top/bottom mount such as the Kraken on the left hand driven car

Ramble: just recently found pulsar and I'm willing to give them a try. (AR 72 vband) and custom modify the mating mouth of my 3" FM exhaust to fit the vband connection. In all this could be $2500+ savings in what has been an endless project in terms of time and money.

Does this mean "no, this is such a stoopid question we'll leave you here to die of your own stoopidity" or "still stoopid question, so I won't bother" or "who knows, spend the $900 to try it out and et us know"?

Let me ask it this way; using the FM manifold (T2) are there turbo external sizing limitations compared to a high mount / low mount that tuck the turbo in vs laterally spacing outwards?

There are some turbo sizing limits when using the FM manifold, if that is the question. The lip on the top edge of the frame rail of the chassis can be a contact point for some turbos depending on the clock angle of the compressor housing. It can be adjusted for by clocking the housing and/or bending the lip downward with a BFH.

that was the question and thank you for an answer. I'll have to buy the turbo a massage it into place..........lovely. It's never just plug-n-play at this level.

My Chinese 2871 required some framerail massaging but the GTX2867R didn't.

I'll be trying the Pulsar 4948 which is a G25-550 knock off. Looking at my 2560 I can see where it'll be tight; the hot side turbine. The 25-550 is still "small" for its power, its one one of the biggest smalls. I'm thinking a angle grinder to notch it out and a tig or mig might be able to go back in and box it back in. The k-member will be a v8r tubular version with the cowl supports which should help.

other than figment between the rails the Pulsar 4948 doesn't use the 5 bolt exhaust engagement rather upgrades to vband which is what I prefer. I'll simply modify my 3" fm exhaust and should be good.

one of the trickiest parts will be trying to figure out how to get my ms3pro to limit boost per gear to keep the car under control.......but we got time to figure that out.
