Overboost and high oil pressure

Having a strange issue with my new to me NA turbo.
The car has an ME221 ECU which is limiting the car to 4.5k revs which I'm guessing is the overboost protection feature. The oil pressure is fine at idle and low revs and sits at 60 but as soon the revs pick up it goes up to 90+ which it never used to, it always stayed at 60 under acceleration.
The car was limiting itself to 4.5k on the 3.5 hour drive home after buying it and it blew the main crank seal and lost about a litre of oil. I topped up the oil and it stopped limiting itself. I then fixed the crank seal and the issue went away and oil pressure was normal.
Then yesterday I replaced all my injector seals as one was leaking and I also removed my intercooler at the same time to strip off the paint, now its limiting to 4.5k again.
Someone suggested the pcv valve could be at fault?
Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place, I'm new here!

If the car went from having a normal fluctuating oil pressure to having it spike to 90 then the oil pressure regulator in the oil pump is bad and you need a new oil pump. This may also indicate there is metal in the oil or has been at one time recently.
I'm not going to guess on the other issues right now.
