So yeah, in hindsight, I wish I'd have gone with an aftermarket kit, but it is what it is lol. In terms of the turbocharger replacement itself, has anyone run the kunigawa Isuzu turbo? It looks like a direct bolt up and seems a lot cheaper than the bnr upgrade. Thanks for any advice.

What is wrong with the turbo? Or are you just looking for more air?
the same folks also sell a rebuild kit- It’s a pretty straight forward job. Mine was leaking oil past the hot side seal, and I was able to get it back together and sealed up for 40-50 bucks. Here is a how-to: https://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=624483

I dont have any pics off hand, one of the turbos is somewhere in my trailer and the other is on the car. Its just a couple hairline cracks under where the flapper hits. I was thinking it may bleed boost down the road, but if its not really an issue, I'll read up on the rebuild. Thanks for the advice. Has anybody ran one of the kunigawa rhf5 turbos as a direct replacement for the msm? Not sure how the turbo size stacks up with a 1.8l
