Default opinion needed to turbo a sad motor or wait till i put the better one in

hi guys a little help from the brains trust would be appreciated. my situation: i have an NA8 with the stock tired BP05. it blows a bit of oil, has a rear main leak, lowish compression on 2 cylinders and is backed by the stock 5 speed. its running a sell tuned speeduino for a few years.

i have bought a "healthy" BP05 that has documented refresh of timing belt and real main seal. trustworthy owner says it has good compression.

i have a 6 speed arriving in about a month.

do you think i should turbo the sad motor with the stock 5 speed, turbo the stock motor with the 6 speed, or just put the fresh motor in with the 5 or 6 speed?

im honestly not leaning any particular way. my only thought is if i turbo the sad motor its just going to increase its demise faster. or do i use this as a training exercise before the "fresh" engine goes in?

thanks team

Do it once, do it right. Will also save some money in the long run.
Less down time, you name it.

Enjoy driving this thing, not scratching your head whats the best thing to do.
If 250whp is enough for your needs, then put the refreshed engine in and have fun with it

What he said.

Run the car as is, strip the new engine and at least put rods in it, rebuild with turbo, when you have it ready on the stand, drop it in with the 6-speed.

You going to stick with the speeduino to run the turbo? If not, then get the replacement in the car asap, and bed that down, especially if you plan on tuning it too.

An engine with blowby will be more likely to have detonation due to ingestion of oil vapor, which has a low octane rating.

Be aware that I bent the BP rods on the RGM at 140 rwkw, no sign of detonation or other ailments.
