Default old SAFC on 1.6

So ive been doing some reasearch on what i want to do with fuel delivery on my 1.6. I decided to ditch my FMU for supra 310cc Greentop injectors and run a SAFC 1st gen (**** type) for tuning. I read that 1.6's have a throttle switch instead of a TPS on 1.8's. So would that be a problem considering the SAFC dose not tune for partial throttle conditions.

Thanks!

I have know idea. Most people with miatas just run emanage.

ITs going to be hell. I installed one on a vw once, and it was just a waste. emanage is so easy, its the best choice.

If you meean the one with real *****, it only really can tune for WOT..BTDT, it worked well(pig rich) w/ 330's AND a BEGI FMU though...
So keep the FMU and you might get some reasonable results.

What are you using for timing?

Im using the Jackson racing ignition controller. Will the 2nd Gen SAFC with the blue screen and buttons tune for partial throttle conditons?

Sort of, you'll need larger injectors- the SAFC is better at removing fuel than adding it. You'll also need a map sensor, and some patience w/ the funny software. I might be able to dig up some old links if you are serious, but the Emanage Blue is 5X the unit for a fraction more...

IIRC saturn turbo(.net?) has a write up on using the safc II w/ a map sensor, and an old DSM site.
