I have a GT2860RS, FM manifold, and TDR i/c which requires the compressor outlet to point up.
I need ideas mounting the (internal) wastegate actuator, short of fabbing a custom bracket. (Or ideas how to do that easily).
The compressor outlet is in the way, and the canister needs to be mounted at an angle. There are 2 possible positions for the can:
1) far away and low ... a straight actuator rod will work, and I just need an extension from ATP turbo (local). I prefer this option but bracket will be more difficult to fab.
2) closer but high ... actuator rod needs to bend down towards flapper valve which means $80+ for an actuator with a bent arm ... actuator can needs to sit at a pretty sharp angle i.e. its rod axis is not parallel to turbo shaft
I dont see any problem with that angle whatsoever.
but you might need to fab something to mount the way i illustrated, i think this one mounts differently on teh front of the compressor, not the rear plates that hold the housing to the backing plate.
need to find this one:
maybe FM or Begi has old stock of them from really early kits?
