Need help, No start w/ new setup.
Hey guys, so long story short I have a 92 that is giving me some grief, but to be fair it is kind of my fault. I had my car on the lift and more or less did everything at once and now it doesnt work.
Whats been done sonce it last started:
I checked my main relay, swapped it with a known one just to be sure, replaced my room and engine fuses, checked the 30amp inj fuse, found that i do have power to 1 a and 1b (b+). I also replaced my ground strap (bolted to trans plate by dipstick), cleaned the ecu grounds at the brake booster, the two at the back of the head and the ppf.
I will admit it kind of skipped my mind and I did update my firmware on the speeduino with it plugged in to the car (derrp). Could this have damaged the ignitor like it would have if done with an MS unit? And would that explain the issues above? Otherwise what else should I check?
Whats been done sonce it last started:
- 1.8 swapped with a 95 motor
- Diy turbo setup(kind of irrelevant)
- Speeduino pnp
- Aem uego (powerer by radio, grounded on the same tab as the black/green ecu ground on back of head).
- used the 1.8 iac and tps
- gm iat sensor
- dw injectors

I think we'd need a little more info than this to assist. Between the 1.8 swap, the turbo setup, and the Speeduino that you've got almost an entirely new powertrain.
Was this all at once or a progressive build? If you did it all in one go, I'd suggest trying to throw some of your stock engine management stuff back on the car to see if you can get it to run.
1) Do you still have all of your old engine management stuff (ECU, AFM, anything else you would've deleted)
2) Did you remove the ST_SIG fuse before trying to crank as the Speeduino Wiki instructs you to?

Have you tried bench testing your ECU? It would be a good idea to make sure it works. If it's controlling the fuel pump relay, and the fuel pump relay isn't switching, I'd look at the ECU first.

Jconn335, I do have the old ecu, afm, injectors and tb with the original iac and tps. Ive just been hesitant to switch it back givin I already swapped the injectors, tps and wired in the wideband signal. The fuse was pulled prior to installation and I followed the manual for the rest.
Mind you, the TPS signal is literally an on/off switch and you're just trying to get it to fire, so you could really plug that in without actually mounting up the TB, just to test.
If you fire up, you've got issues with your tune or your settings in Tuner Studio. If not, you're looking at Gremlins from the 1.8 swap, most likely. Just a thought to try to cut your list of potential causes in half.

Pull it out of the car and apppy 12v power to the appropriate pins and see if you can get your computer to connect. Then you can load up the latest firmware etc risk-free.

So i ended up getting the ecu "working" by actually installing the jumper at the afm... However no rpm in ts and no fuel pump prime, sometimes after leaving the key in the running the fuel pump will just randomly start running however still no injectors firing or spark, also no rpm in car on the tach as well. Going to re download the firmware on the board and redownload tunerstudio, then make a new project. I also have the cas from the 1.8 and an extra ignitor but i dont want to just start swapping everything so I figured Id ask first.
