Default My custom turbo setup, plus one for a customer

Sorry for the huge pictures. I didn't realize they would be so big when I uploaded them to imgur. This forums doesn't seem to support the [resize] tag....

Not posting for any questions or anything. I just felt like sharing my custom setup and another I built for a local. I built all the custom parts in my fab shop.

1.9L VVT rebuilt engine by Autotechnik Racing in Cape Coral. Overbore OEM pistons w/ h-beam rods
Saab 900 t25 turbo
taco-taco turbo header
full 3" turboback exhaust with MT.net approved muffler (which is absolutely amazingly quiet)
2" IC pipes with laid-back rad
Ebay coolant reroute
Treadstone 500hp core w/ custom endtanks and air-catcher
Custom intake manifold with ODB2 mk3 VR6 throttle body with built-in 3-wire IAC. 2" diameter long runners, velocity stacks, hand formed plenum.
Full AC/PS accessory set
Reverent MS3 pro PNP
RX8 injectors, radium fuel rail, dead-head converted to return fuel setup w/ NA 3-bar FPR

I need to hard-line the coolant lines. What's in the pictures is "temporary" AKA permanent.

Customer build done last December. I didn't do any of the purchasing for this, just fab work.

1.8L
fab9 I think t3 turbo w/ taco taco manifold
cx racing intercooler
custom 2.5 downpipe tied in to some kind of aftermarket exhaust that they wanted to keep. I think Apexi? I didn't look in to it.
full accessory set-up
They did a coolant re-route afterwards too.

Looks great to my eyes with one exception. From past experience on a DIY turbo setup (1995 Escort GT), I would guess that flex pipe in the middle of the downpipe is likely to fail quickly. I had to redo mine after an exhaust shop built my exhaust from the downpipe and placed one just under the FWD oil pan a bit further downstream. This was early 2000s without a proper ECU and the heat caused the flex pipe to warp and close up internally.

I installed an EGT sensor in the top of the Mazda GTX/GTR manifold and found it was easily hitting 1650F. Most of the issue was trying to use a crap quality BEGI FMU to push more fuel through used 460cc injectors (RX7?). Timing was retarded with a Jacobs boost timing controller, just a basic retard per psi. Later I wired in an Apexi S-AFC2 mainly pulling fuel during N/A use. I substituted an MAP sensor for the throttle trigger to add extra fuel increasing with boost. It was tuned by feel/ear so there was lots of room for mistakes but that car just ran and ran for years at 14-15 psi (tiny VJ-20 + T-bird cold side turbo).

Thanks
Yeah the flex is definitely a concern however it's better than hard piping the downpipe to the exhaust that's held to the transmission by the rigid bracket. That's just asking for a crack. Normal I would use a double slip or bellows in this location but ds doesn't allow for expansion in the right direction and I didn't have any 2.5 bellows on hand.

I'm not too worried about it though. It's a high temp stainless interlock liner model that handles heat quite nicely. I use them on ls single turbo crossover pipes without issue.
